This year Washington District 2 will host the Washington State Major Baseball tournament. This is an exciting event for both participants and fans. The tournament will be held at North Kitsap League Complex complex from July 15th through July 22nd.
This is a wonderful opportunity to come out and watch some great Baseball. Admission is free. Cheering is required.
We are going to try to livestream as many of the games as we can. Go to www.facebook.com/WAD2LLB/events for links to the events. We added some additional internet service to the announcer booths on Monday to improve the livestream. This improved things considerably and we'll try tweaking it further. We'll go live as best we can for the remainder of the tournament.
Managers and coaches plan to attend the mandatory meeting on Saturday July 15th at 8:00am. The meeting will be held at the tournament site in Poulsbo.
Opening Ceremony - Saturday July 15th
We will have an opening ceremony and parade of teams on Saturday July 15th at 10:30am at the tournament complex. All teams are encouraged and expected to attend. Please be ready to march onto the field as a team at 10:30 sharp. We'll assemble the teams at 10:15.

This is a great event but we can't pull this event off without your help. We will have two fields with games going at the same time. Our concession stand will be operating throughout. We have many postions to fill from announcers to field prep crews.

In District 2 we utilize interleague play for several divisions. It is important to remember that every league participating in interleague play agrees to abide by the Interleague Rules that are established for the division in which they are participating. In some cases (Minor & Major baseball) the interleague play is between a small group of leagues. In those cases the interleague rules are established by the few leagues participating. Our Softball, Intermediate, Junior and Senior baseball encompass more leagues and the interleague rules for those groups have been established by the participating leagues and documented by the District.
For a copy of the Minor or Major baseball interleague rules contact your league. The interleague rules for Softball, Intermediate and Senior baseball are available here on the District 2 website.
If a division is participating in interleague play, for instance Major Softball, all games shall be played using the Interleague Rules whether the game is between teams from different leagues or teams from the same league. In other words, use one set of rules for all games played. Don't be changing the rules at different game sites.
